Driver updates support optimal computer hardware function, performance, new and critical features. Dell fully andpartially manages driver updates for hundreds of millions of devices. Failure to update drivers can causesecurity vulnerabilities, performance bottlenecks, and other issues. In this paper, we present a service capability at Dell that leverages telemetry data from a vast number of connected devices, and Bayesian machine learning to proactively predict, prevent and root-cause driver update failures to address security vulnerabilities, performance bottlenecks and enhance overall user experience.
