The Agile Enterprise Marketer

The CMO may be in one of the most demanding situations of anyone in the modern enterprise. They are forced to venture bravely into arguably the most dynamic and unknown of business arenas at the command of an organization that also wants the CMO to avoid risk, measure results, and work in ways that don’t rock the boat. The agile enterprise marketer – i.e., the successful CMO – is able to do this expertly. She or he must be ‘multi-minded’ by providing vision and leadership for the organization, producing the revenue and sales required of them, and taking bold new operational initiatives that show tactical prowess and a keen ability to demonstrate return on marketing investment.
