The How-What-Why of Predictive Marketing

The world was predicted to end. Millions of people believed this to be true. Print and news media were full of articles supporting or disputing this prediction. The nature of the apocalypse was varied — some believed it would be from planetary alignments or a tsunami, and yet others thought a meteor would crash into the Earth. Jokes aside, humans have been trying to predict the future for eons. Nikola Tesla predicted wi- and mobile phones in 1909. Jules Verne imagined a man on the moon in 1865, and Edward Bellamy predicted the existence of debit cards in 1888.
